1. “Breakfast Royal”, the perfect morning tea for an energizing start to the day

Our “Breakfast Royal” black tea belongs to the category of blends, those mixtures of teas of different varieties and diverse origins that offer cups with surprisingly harmonious flavors.

In its recipe, black tea from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) meets Chinese tea to create a hot beverage worthy of a true English breakfast! For an even more traditional and immersive experience, we recommend adding a splash of milk to your morning cups of this dual-nationality “Royal Breakfast”.

Upon waking, infuse our tasty black tea for 3 to 5 minutes in water at 90°C to enjoy a natural boost.

“Breakfast Royal” tea is available in loose leaf (100g, 500g, 1000g) and in sachets, in boxes of 48 individual sachets, to satisfy all tastes.

2. “Pushkin”, an anthology recipe to discover in black tea or green tea version

At Betjeman & Barton, the expertise and love of tea are no secret, but the recipe for “Pushkin” tea has been jealously guarded for 40 years. It all began in Paris, in a salon in the 15th arrondissement, during a conversation between Didier, one of the directors of our century-old company, and Liocha, a descendant of Russian aristocrats. Together, they discussed the Russian tea tradition, often accompanied by lemon or marmalade. From these reminiscences arose the idea for a beverage with a Slavic soul, reinvented with Parisian style and refinement. Its name pays homage to Alexander Pushkin, the romantic and Francophile Russian poet, whose depth and sensitivity are echoed in the strength of the black tea and the vibrancy of the citrus fruits.

Our signature “Pushkin” tea is crafted from a blend of Chinese and Ceylon teas. Notes of orange, lemon, and bergamot complete its recipe, much to the delight of citrus lovers. When brewed, it reveals a coppery hue with golden highlights, as well as an intense and elegant aroma. On the palate, the initial taste is bold: first marked by the intensity of the black tea, then by the luminous freshness of the selected fruits. The bergamot is subtle, present without being overpowering, while the orange and lemon zest provides a lingering, tangy note throughout the tasting.

While it's best enjoyed as a black tea in the morning, "Pushkin" tea can be savored throughout the day as a green tea. Upon waking, it provides a burst of energy and precision. In the afternoon, it reveals a gentler side, best enjoyed in keeping with Russian tradition, with a twist of lemon or a spoonful of citrus marmalade.

Prepare it according to the rules of the art for optimal tasting, with 3-5 minutes of infusion at 90 °C for black tea and 2-3 minutes of infusion at 80 °C for green tea.

Our “Pouchkine” green tea is only available loose leaf. Our black tea comes in three formats: loose leaf, a 125g metal tin, and tea bags (25, 48, or 100). Also try our “Pouchkine” tea syrup, a delicious blend of tea, water, and cane sugar, perfect for flavoring water, adding a personal touch to cocktails, and reinventing sweet and savory recipes!

3. “Eden Rose”, a floral black tea imbued with romance and poetry

The evocative name of our black tea, “Eden Rose,” hints at wonderful promises of gustatory pleasure and sensory delight. For while Eden is synonymous with “paradise,” it is also the name of a rose known as “Pierre de Ronsard,” a reference to the Renaissance poet’s most famous poem: “Mignonne, allons voir si la rose.” It also reflects two passions: Katherine’s antique roses, which she caresses like precious fabrics, and the silent walks of her partner alongside Eden, her faithful four-legged companion.

And in the recipe for this fragrant black tea from China and Ceylon, whose leaves combine roundness and elegance, rose petals indeed blend brilliantly with essential oils of lavender, bergamot and vanilla, for a hot drink that is as sweet as it is refined.

Born from an intimate and poetic inspiration, our “Eden Rose” tea pays a beautiful tribute to the love of beauty. As profound as it is delicate, its aroma always makes a sensation at teatime, accompanied by irresistible treats such as almond biscuits, a red fruit tartlet, or a madeleine fresh from the oven. It can be savored, for example, between whispered confidences shared with friends in a Parisian salon, sealed by the warmth of a cup with coppery hues.

Eden Rose black tea can be enjoyed throughout the day. We recommend brewing for 3 to 5 minutes at 90°C for the perfect experience.

For an exceptional gift, choose it in loose leaf form, a colorful metal tin, or tea bags. With “Eden Rose,” you can offer the infused memory of an emotion to all tea lovers.

4. “Sencha Natural Leaf”, an essential Japanese green tea

Sencha green tea is a tea from Japan. It is often considered the tea of hospitality in the Land of the Rising Sun, making it an ideal gift for all your loved ones.

At Betjeman & Barton, discover “Sencha Natural Leaf,” a tea originating from the Kyushu province and made from flat leaves with two shades of green. It offers slightly acidic cups rich in vitamin C, best enjoyed in the morning and after lunch.

Our “Sencha Natural Leaf” tea should be brewed for 2 to 3 minutes at 80°C. It is available loose leaf, in 125g tins or in single-use tea bags to suit all consumption habits.

5. “The Guests”, a delicate and fragrant tea, available in green tea and white tea versions

The "Les Invités" green tea is one of the House's best-sellers. Made from Chinese green tea, it subtly blends vegetal freshness with a timeless floral bouquet of rose and jasmine, delicately enhanced by the exotic sweetness of lychee. Its infusion reveals a soft yellow color with pearly highlights, promising a smooth, elegant, and joyful tasting experience with each cup.

The epitome of refined green tea, “Les Invités” embodies a delicate and personal touch, a simple gesture that naturally brings people together. Created by Agnès, this exclusive blend celebrates the art of perfect balance, thanks to a masterfully controlled harmony of flavors. It is therefore ideal for special occasions as well as everyday moments, where it pairs beautifully with pastries and floral or fruity treats at teatime.

And because it lends itself to every whim, our "Les Invités" green tea can be served iced to enhance your summer afternoons, like a Parisian garden in full bloom. For special occasions, it transforms into a sparkling champagne cocktail, served in glasses that combine freshness, lightness, and subtlety. A cold, concentrated infusion, delicate bubbles, and a touch of lime zest: that's the secret to a successful celebration with Betjeman & Barton!

We also offer "Les Invités" in a white tea version for even more refinement. In this case, opt for loose leaf tea (100g, 500g or 100g) or purchase our iconic green tea in loose leaf, metal tin or tea bags.

Whether green or white, "Les Invités" tea can be enjoyed without moderation. Infuse it for 2 to 3 minutes at 80°C for one or 8 minutes at 70°C for the other for an optimal tasting experience.
