Organic tea, a guarantee of quality for demanding tea drinkers
Organic certification isn't just for the food industry or the cosmetics industry. Tea can also proudly claim its organic origins, thanks to strict regulations designed to reassure consumers and promote the commitment of responsible producers.
In accordance with European standards, aorganic tea is a tea whose production excludes the use of GMOs, pesticides, fertilizers or synthetic weedkillers, but on the other hand implies the use of at least 95% of ingredients from organic farming when the tea is accompanied by fruits, flowers, plants or spices.
Thus, Pu-Er teas from China, Darjeeling teas from India, and Japanese matchas must comply with the constraints of European specifications to be marketed as organic teas in Europe. An exotic product par excellence for French consumers, because it necessarily comes from imports, tea is therefore subject to the same controls as consumer products grown on European soil in order to be able to claim the title of organic tea.
Throughout our extensive catalog of exceptional teas and infusions, the Eurofeuille European organic farming label allows organic tea to stand out from conventional tea. A guarantee of virtuous and eco-responsible production, this label reflects the quality standards of our House, whose ambition is to highlight the refinement of original teas.
