At the Source of Bamboo

It was in Guangxi province, in southern China, that Andrea, our globetrotting flavourist, made an unexpected detour to a small village nestled beside a vast forest of giant bamboo, between Guilin and Yangshuo. There, the landscape seemed suspended in a green light. Tall stalks rustled in the wind, the ground was soft, and the air was humid and soothing.

Welcomed by a family of gardeners, he witnessed the cutting of young shoots, destined for cooking and infusion. It was in this hushed, almost meditative atmosphere that the desire was born to create a soft, vegetal, and innovative drink, like a tropical breath of fresh air.

Bamboo, a Vegetal Column

An emblem of longevity in China, bamboo represents flexibility, balance, and inner strength. In our infusion, its accents bring freshness and verticality, a vegetal structure that balances the sweet mellowness of the fruits. Bamboo is not there to dominate, but to support; it is the invisible backbone of this exotic blend, the green thread at the heart of the fruit.

A Fruit Notebook

The fruits in this blend are no accident. They reflect the markets crossed, the orchards visited, and the tastings made daily during this trip to southern China. Hand-picked, still-warm banana, melting mango slices, pineapple poached in coconut water, small wedges of yellow apple, crunchy coconut flakes... All these flavourful memories have found their place in a colourful, generous, and lively fruit water.

Fruit Infusion and Food Pairings

Bambou fruit infusion is the ultimate snack-time drink: sweet, naturally sugary, and caffeine-free, it's like a drinkable compote, perfect for all ages. Served warm in winter or iced in summer, it gracefully accompanies homemade biscuits, coconut madeleines, banana cakes, or even an upside-down pineapple tart.

It also works wonders with a fresh fruit salad, coconut milk rice pudding, or lightly toasted braided brioche for a comforting, fragrant, and sunny snack.

Recipes and Cocktails using Bambou Fruit Infusion

Cold-brewed, Bambou becomes the perfect base for summer recipes. Transformed into ice cubes then crushed, it can be made into an express granita, fruity and ultra-refreshing. Poured into molds with a few pieces of fruit, it becomes a homemade ice pop that's as healthy as it is delicious. In cocktail form, it can be lengthened with a dash of cane syrup and a good brut champagne for an exotic, botanical, and festive flute. Also, consider using it as a court-bouillon for cooking your fish!
