At the source of bamboo
It was in the province of Guangxi, in southern China, that Andrea, our globetrotting aromatherapist, made an unexpected detour to a small village nestled against a vast forest of giant bamboo, between Guilin and Yangshuo. There, the landscape seemed suspended in a green light. The tall stalks trembled in the wind, the ground was soft, the air humid and soothing.
Welcomed by a family of gardeners, he watched as they cut young shoots, destined for cooking and infusion. It was in this hushed, almost meditative atmosphere that the desire to create a gentle, plant-based and innovative beverage, like a tropical breath of fresh air, was born.
Bamboo, a columnar plant
An emblem of longevity in China, bamboo represents flexibility, balance, and inner strength. In our infusion, its slivers bring freshness and a vertical dimension, a vegetal structure that balances the sweetness of the fruit. The bamboo is not there to dominate, but to support; it is the invisible backbone of this exotic blend, the green thread at the heart of the fruit.
A fruit notebook
The fruits in this blend are no accident. They reflect the markets visited, the orchards explored, and the tastings enjoyed throughout this journey in southern China. Hand-picked, still-warm bananas, melting slices of mango, pineapple poached in coconut water, small wedges of yellow apple, crunchy coconut flakes… All these gustatory memories have found their place in a colorful, generous, and vibrant fruit-infused water.
