The cast iron teapots Shokei Arare are manufactured by Oitomi workshop, heir of seven generations know-how. The cast iron workshop is located in the Iwate area, employing local craftsmen who have been maintaining the original technique of Nambu Tekki art for over 1,000 years. “Imperial recognition” award has been given by its Excellence the Emperor and her Imperial Highness in 1970 to the workshop for the quality of their work.
