This black tea is for those who cannot do without Earl Grey and wish to drink some of it late at night: we have created for you a decaffeinated version of this classic. Bergamot on a basis of decaffeinated Ceylon tea.

A family story
For the Ashfords, tea is a family tradition. For three generations, they've come through the door of our shop with the same regularity as opening a good book. Their preferences are well-known, respected, and almost inscribed on the shelves: spring Darjeelings, rare Chinese teas, and above all... Earl Greys. It's a passion passed down, almost hereditary.
Georges, the patriarch, was an exception. Caffeine was no longer for him, and he had turned to herbal teas years ago. But one day, he asked us a simple, direct question, just like him:
“Could you make me a real bergamot tea, but without theine? Not a flavored infusion, a tea. With flavor. With character.”
The challenge was set. And because we don't refuse such a sincere request, especially when it comes from a special customer, we created this blend just for him. A decaffeinated black tea, respectful of his structure, faithful to the spirit of the Earl Grey he had seen so often in his family cups.
