When Africa and India Meet…
This infusion was born from a conversation, like so many beautiful ideas. A loyal customer of our Malesherbes Boulevard store, a seasoned traveler and lover of India, dreamed of a caffeine-free chai. She wanted to rediscover the aromas of her stays in Jaipur or Kochi – cardamom, cinnamon, clove – but in a milder version, to be enjoyed in the evening. Her wish inspired this radiant and comforting creation, conceived as a chai in a velvet gown. In this cup, all the spicy warmth of India invites itself to the reddish lands of South Africa. But this aromatic journey could not have come to fruition without the expertise of Betjeman and Barton.

Rooibos and Food PairingsSpiced Rooibos pairs perfectly with winter treats: moist cinnamon cakes, pear and chocolate tarts, gingerbread, or shortbread cookies. It can also be served with blue cheese, offering a surprising contrast between the salty power and the sweet, spicy roundness of the infusion. Recipes with Spiced RooibosBrewed hot in a plant-based milk, it becomes the base for a mild and digestible "chai latte," to be enhanced with a hint of honey or maple syrup. It's also suitable for cold infusions in summer, with a cinnamon stick and a few orange slices.
