A Memory of Tulle and Light

In the Betjeman family, everyone has an artistic soul... Alix danced. Slender and graceful, with a straight neck and arms full of promise, she practiced her chassé steps in a small dance school nestled two streets away from our historic boutique on Boulevard Malesherbes.
Her father loved to go and get her. He went there discreetly, often in the late afternoon, when the golden light of Paris touched the Haussmannian facades and slid across the studio's steamy windows. From the moment he entered, he was struck by a special atmosphere: a gentle silence, full of expectation and excitement. The air hung with perfumes mingled with violet and rice powder, a touch of orange blossom on her wrists, a few drops of bergamot spilled from a bottle in a dance bag.

The breath of creation

He remembers the dance notebooks open on their knees, where the little stars scribbled flowers or glued dried petals on as if keeping a secret. And then, on the way out, there was sometimes a bag of peach candies, or a crystallized violet offered on the fly.
It was in this tender, suspended setting that inspiration came to him. He wanted this tea to be as soft as a breath, delicate as an entrechat, luminous as his daughter's gaze as she leaves class. A tribute infused with childhood on pointe, the silent poetry of dance studios, and the elegance of a little star he watched grow up.

Tea and food pairing

Comme une Étoile is savored like catching one's breath between two variations. It goes perfectly with an orange blossom or sweet lemon macaron, or even a yellow fruit dessert. In summer, it also lends itself to an iced version: cold-infused, sprinkled with white peach slices and fresh petals, a cool dance on the edge of the glass.

Recipes and cocktails based on green tea Like a star

As the sun sets, it transforms into an elegant cocktail: infused in advance, it pairs with bergamot-flavored gin, enhanced with a dash of white peach syrup and a hint of lime. Served chilled in a martini glass, it unfolds its floral and fruity notes like a final dance step on the cobblestones of a summer evening.

A tea of reverie and delicacy, which slips on tiptoe into the hearts of those who love to infuse light.
