A Big Challenge, a Special Request
The story of our Ginger green tea begins with an unexpected call for a unique request from a prestigious client: a renowned luxury hotel known for its refined standards and quest for excellence. The hotel wanted to offer a unique tea to its international clientele, a blend capable of providing energy and comfort while remaining elegant and refined.
The challenge was set: to create a tea that would surprise as much as it seduced, a beverage that was both powerful and balanced. We knew that ginger, with its lively character and spicy notes, could be the key to this composition. All that remained was to find the perfect ally to soften it and reveal all its complexity.
We then undertook a meticulous search, tasting and testing different gingers, from different origins and intensities. Once the ginger was selected, we settled on a Sencha green tea, renowned for its freshness and delicately herbal aromas. It offered the ideal contrast to the ginger, softening its strength while allowing it to fully express itself.
An Instant Success
When the palace received the first shipments of Ginger green tea, it was an immediate success. Served early in the morning to awaken the spirits or late in the afternoon for an invigorating break, it quickly became one of the establishment's signature drinks. Guests praised its controlled intensity, its lingering freshness, and its ability to warm while remaining light.
Word of mouth spread, and soon, this green teawent beyond the hushed walls of the palace to conquer tea lovers from all over the world. Even today, each cup tells this story: that of a challenge met, a meeting between power and softness, and artisanal know-how dedicated to the pleasure of the senses.
Tea and food pairings
On the sweet side, Ginger green tea pairs wonderfully with citrus desserts: lemon tarts, yuzu cake, or mandarin panna cotta. It also contrasts delicately with honey or sesame pastries. On the savory side, it enhances raw dishes like ceviche or orange fennel salad. For an even more enveloping infusion, add a drop of acacia honey or a thin slice of lemon.
Tea-based recipes and cocktails
Cold-brewed, Ginger Green Tea becomes a refined base for subtle mocktails or bolder mixology creations. Topped with green apple or pear juice, it gains sweetness while retaining its spicy tension. A few drops of lime, a touch of homemade ginger syrup, a few fresh basil leaves, and it transforms into a vegetal, tangy, and thirst-quenching aperitif. With a dash of dry gin or lemon-infused vodka, it becomes more nocturnal, lively, and luminous, perfect for moments of controlled freshness.
