A tea as an echo of childhood
The creation of this tea dates back to the childhood memories of Andrea, our tea researcher, in a troglodyte house near Amboise, buried in the mineral coolness of the stone. There, every summer, time seemed to stretch on forever.
The taste of summer in Touraine
With her cousins, Andrea would go on expeditions to the nearby pick-your-own gardens, especially to the orchards of La Garenne, a little corner of paradise perched above the Loire, open to walkers and families. It was an almost magical place, lined with twisted old pear trees and rows of unruly raspberry bushes, where children ran barefoot between the paths, a basket in one hand, a handful of gooseberries in the other.
But very often, the baskets came back half empty: the children preferred to bite into the fruit as they came, straight from the tree... In the evening, what was left ended up as fragrant compotes or jams simmered slowly while the little ones fell asleep, exhausted, their lips still sweet...
This is the feeling that Andrea wanted to rediscover in the tea Let's Walk in the Woods... the unique taste of a stolen raspberry, the liveliness of a freshly picked gooseberry... the carefree indulgence, the generous and natural taste of orchard fruits.
Sensory orchard and plant promise
In this infused stroll, the fruits don't cheat: they express their simple and vibrant truth. No artificial confectionery, but a perfect balance between lively acidity and gentle roundness, underscored by the vegetal verticality of Sencha. A tea like an awakened memory.
Tea and food pairings
Let's Walk in the Woods lends itself to many sweet pairings, whether refined or more rustic. It pairs perfectly with a thin red fruit tart, whose crisp pastry complements the tangy notes of the tea, or a light and silky vanilla panna cotta, which prolongs its sweetness. A simple butter shortbread, still warm, brings out the hints of strawberry and cherry.
Green Tea Recipes and Cocktails Let's Take a Walk in the Woods
Cold-brewed, Let's Walk in the Woods becomes the perfect base for a summer mocktail: raspberries, lemon, mint, and that's it. Light and cheerful, it's perfect for enjoying on the patio. For a bolder version, add botanical gin, raspberry liqueur, lemon juice, and a touch of rose water. Served chilled and garnished with berries, this floral and fruity cocktail becomes a true aromatic stroll: fresh, delicate, and subtly playful.
