- Herbal tea very cocooning -

This herbal tea is a blend of various plants with aromas of fennel, anise, lemongrass and lavender. This is the first herbal tea of the brand new collection imagined by Betjeman and Barton House of Tea.

  • Fennel, anise, lemongrass, lavender, hibiscus

It looks like the South...
It was in Port-Grimaud, between tranquil canals and pastel facades, that this herbal tea was born. Andrea, our flavorist, stayed there one summer. The aniseed breath of the warm air, the fennel thickets by the roadside, the lavender floating like a mauve mist over the hills, the lemongrass stalks grown in pots on the balconies… All these scents left their mark. Sitting on a café terrace, a glass in hand, he imagined a non-alcoholic drink, as thirst-quenching as an aperitif, but resolutely vegetal and dreamy. An infusion with southern aromas, aquatic sweetness, and dreamlike charm.

The elegance of anise
Anise and fennel, sometimes forgotten, sometimes adored, have this singular power to evoke childhood, summer moments, herbalist's cupboards. In this composition, they reveal their most tender side: the anise deploys a round and sweet softness, while the fennel exudes a green and luminous freshness. The lemongrass, lively and citrusy, makes the connection, and the lavender adds its floral, slightly wild breath. Together, they create a surprising harmony, an aromatic caress both familiar and new, capable of seducing even those who thought they didn't like them.

A rare fragrance, a free signature
There are few infusions as assertive, as free, that dare to tell a story without watering down their character. La Tisane des Rêveuses is one of those that etches itself in the memory. Each plant sings its note, without ever dominating the other. It is a botanical score, both expressive and balanced, born of a bold gesture and a poetic gaze. An infusion that imitates nothing, follows no fashion, but traces its own path, between southern light and herbal reverie.

Herbal tea and food pairings

Tisane des Rêveuses (Dreamers' Herbal Tea), with its notes of anise, lemongrass, fennel, and lavender, can be enjoyed at dessert time or paired with savory dishes. It enhances a raw fennel and orange salad, a fresh herb hummus, or a thin zucchini and ricotta tart. On the sweet side, it pairs wonderfully with almond milk panna cotta, lavender semolina cake, or stuffed dates.

Recipes and cocktails featuring Tisane des Rêveuses
Cold-brewed, Tisane des Rêveuses has an anise-like aroma. Its complex, herbaceous aromatic bouquet lends itself to the creation of summer cocktails: serve it over ice in a wine glass, with a fennel stick or a splash of sparkling water. A drop of elderflower syrup or a hint of redcurrant juice can be added to give it an even more hypnotic color. Enjoy with your eyes closed, on a terrace.
