The memory of a shared orchard
It was the cousins' house, nestled on a hillside in the small village of Collobrières, in the heart of the Massif des Maures. We returned there every year in June, playing cards on the checkered tablecloth and running barefoot through the short grass. At the bottom of the garden, the orchard, a little wild and sloping, was overflowing with cherry trees laden with glossy fruit. We climbed the branches, our fingers stained, our cheeks flushed, our laughter suspended between two wicker baskets.
Memory is a reflection of those moments: a cup like a postcard from the past, both vibrant and light, like a memory that doesn't fade but sparkles. Each infusion revives this simple scene: the warmth on the skin, the shade of the trees, the slightly tart taste of freshly picked cherries.
Memory in motion
At Betjeman and Barton, we believe that tea can be a bridge between the present and what we hold within us. Memory is an homage to active, joyful, vibrant remembrance. Not nostalgia, but energy. The kind that makes you smile for no reason, walk lighter, and rediscover, for a fleeting moment, the spirit of carefree summers.
Enjoy it hot or iced, alone or with others; Memory is an infusion to be experienced rather than contemplated. A fruity, fresh, and bright break for gray days, or to extend the sunshine.
