A promise whispered in the hollow of the ear
It was in Paris, of course, that the inspiration was born. Paris and its secret gardens, its flower-filled balconies, its rain-soaked benches, its silent gatherings under the arbors. A tea imagined like a refrain by Lucienne Boyer, where each note evokes a word we don't always dare say out loud:
“Talk to me about love, tell me tender things…”
With this delicate creation, our "aroma magician" wanted to translate this thrill: that of the first letter, of the gaze that lasts a little longer, of a scent left in the air. For this, a rare balance between fruits and flowers was needed, between what enchants the senses and what touches the soul...
The symbolism of message teas
At Betjeman and Barton, some teas are more than just infusions: they're messages. Thé des Amours, C'est une belle histoire, Les Courtisanes... So many impulses of the heart slipped into a cup, where each ingredient tells a tender word, a glance exchanged, a story on the surface. Parlez-moi d'amour is part of this line of teas that say without saying, that touch on emotions with grace and where each ingredient speaks a language specific to feelings:
• The raspberry, fruit of summer, embodies the first emotions, the play of glances, the carefree love.
• The soft, bright and warm orange symbolizes generosity, simple joy, the burst of laughter shared by two.
• The apricot, rounder, is the fruit of the sun: it speaks of festivities, summer sweetness, reassuring gestures.
• Neroli, a subtle essence extracted from the bitter orange flower, has always been the perfume of young brides, a promise of fidelity, sincere love, and rebirth.
• Finally, jasmine, in its floral purity, is the echo of noble and discreet feelings, of spiritual, almost contemplative love.
Brewing this tea is like letting the flowers and fruits speak. It's like saying I love you without having to say a word... But it's also about submitting an idea: Tell me about Love...
