- Green tea with fruity hints -

When the heady jasmine, the velvety raspberry, the sunny banana and apricot flavours and the neroli essential oil are combined with a China tea, it is more than a China night or a night of love. As Lucienne Boyer used to sing it, they are “tender things” and we are never tired of “hearing” them... a tea to be savoured together!

  • Raspberry, orange, banana, neroli, apricot

A promise whispered in the hollow of the ear

It was in Paris, of course, that the inspiration was born. Paris and its secret gardens, its flower-filled balconies, its rain-soaked benches, its silent gatherings under the arbors. A tea imagined like a refrain by Lucienne Boyer, where each note evokes a word we don't always dare say out loud:

“Talk to me about love, tell me tender things…”

With this delicate creation, our "aroma magician" wanted to translate this thrill: that of the first letter, of the gaze that lasts a little longer, of a scent left in the air. For this, a rare balance between fruits and flowers was needed, between what enchants the senses and what touches the soul...

The symbolism of message teas

At Betjeman and Barton, some teas are more than just infusions: they're messages. Thé des Amours, C'est une belle histoire, Les Courtisanes... So many impulses of the heart slipped into a cup, where each ingredient tells a tender word, a glance exchanged, a story on the surface. Parlez-moi d'amour is part of this line of teas that say without saying, that touch on emotions with grace and where each ingredient speaks a language specific to feelings:
• The raspberry, fruit of summer, embodies the first emotions, the play of glances, the carefree love.
• The soft, bright and warm orange symbolizes generosity, simple joy, the burst of laughter shared by two.
• The apricot, rounder, is the fruit of the sun: it speaks of festivities, summer sweetness, reassuring gestures.
• Neroli, a subtle essence extracted from the bitter orange flower, has always been the perfume of young brides, a promise of fidelity, sincere love, and rebirth.
• Finally, jasmine, in its floral purity, is the echo of noble and discreet feelings, of spiritual, almost contemplative love.
Brewing this tea is like letting the flowers and fruits speak. It's like saying I love you without having to say a word... But it's also about submitting an idea: Tell me about Love...

Tea and food pairing
Parlez-moi d'Amour is a tea that lends itself wonderfully to gourmet experiences. Its fruity and floral sweetness makes it a delicate partner in many recipes, both sweet and savory, and a choice ingredient to elevate moments of enjoyment. For sweet dishes, pair it with a raspberry or apricot dessert or a warm fruit salad (pears, peaches, raspberries), enhanced with a drizzle of infused tea syrup. For savory dishes, it harmonizes beautifully with fresh cheeses, such as a mild goat cheese or a lightly lemon-flavored faisselle, served with citrus or red berry jam, or even with a salmon carpaccio marinated in orange and coriander, whose freshness complements the light floral notes of jasmine.

Recipes and cocktails using green tea. Tell me about love.

Ingredients (for 2 glasses)

250 ml of Parlez-moi d'Amour tea, brewed at 75°C for 3 minutes, then cooled
• 50 ml of fresh raspberry juice (or homemade blended, strained)
• 30 ml of apricot juice (organic or homemade for extra texture)
• 10 ml of orange blossom water
• 1 tsp of cane sugar syrup (or light floral honey)
• 1 dash of lemon juice
• Ice cubes or crushed ice

Preparation

  1. To prepare the tea: Infuse Parlez-moi d'Amour in water at 75°C for 3 minutes. Strain, let it cool slightly, then refrigerate.
  2. To mix the flavors: In a shaker (or a sealed jar), pour the cooled tea, raspberry and apricot juices, lemon juice, orange blossom water, and sugar syrup. Add ice cubes and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
  3. To serve: Strain the mixture into a chilled glass. Add a few ice cubes or a thin layer of crushed ice.
  4. To decorate: Garnish with a fresh raspberry, a spiral of orange zest, and a small edible flower placed on top.
