Green Tea If Nancy Were Told to Me: A Sensory Escape to the Heart of Flavored Green Tea
In the refined world of tea, creating a fragrant blend is an art combining know-how and passion. "Si Nancy m'était conté" perfectly illustrates this mastery, with its delicate notes of mirabelle plum, macaroon, bergamot and poppy infused in an exceptional green tea. It all begins with the rigorous selection of a quality Sencha green tea, here from China. After manual harvesting, the leaves are quickly withered and then roasted, in order to control their oxidation and give them a significant aromatic richness. Then comes the essential step of blending the ingredients, which gives the infusion its unique character. For "Si Nancy m'était conté", we wanted to find a balance between mirabelle plum, emblem of Lorraine, bergamot, and essential oils reminiscent of the macaroon ... Poppy petals bring a floral touch and refinement to this pretty blend.
A Story with Lorraine Accents
In the cobbled streets of Nancy, beneath the Art Nouveau streetlights, Claude opened the door to a small boutique and tea room with its captivating aromas. Despite the multitude of choices on offer, she was missing one tea, THE tea of her dreams... And for good reason, what was it? What did she love more than her city and her region?
Claude's answer was obvious: she loves the mirabelle plum, a treasure of Lorraine, revealing its sweet notes, reminiscent of sunny orchards; but also Nancy's macaron, a symbol of indulgence, which she loved to buy from Les Sœurs Macarons, let's not forget the bergamot, which reminded her of the dear Earl Grey she drank every morning with her husband, or the poppy, a poetic nod to the flowery fields she loved to contemplate so much...
This lovely blend didn't take long to convince all of Claude's customers and to get people talking about it beyond the walls of the tea room... The Mayor himself had an idea one day: to make this tea the emblem of the city... So it was necessary to find a name for it... and a beautiful setting. We were beyond a simple infusion, between a true invitation to travel, a gourmet and comforting escape and a tribute to the city... With each sip, the charm worked. On a beautiful winter afternoon, Claude served tea accompanied by the famous scones for which she alone had the know-how, to one of her most loyal customers, drinking her tea piping hot: "Claude, I love the way you tell me about Nancy"... This is how the story of Si Nancy m'était conté was born and spread beyond the borders of Lorraine.
