The Betjeman & Barton company was founded in the late 1910s by Arthur Betjeman, a lifelong tea enthusiast. Inspired by the vibrant French capital, brimming with art and joy and undergoing a complete renaissance at the time, he opened his first shop there in 1919. Less than 10 years later, he partnered with Percy Barton, and together they traveled the world in search of the finest tea plantations.
